A message from the Captain

It's an honor and a pleasure to serve all in Fleet 5 as our Captain. First off, I'd like to thank all those folks who participated in the various Fleet 5 events and activities throughout the past year. We look forward to your continued support and participation this coming season.

We have a busy 2010 calendar ahead of us for our 50+ member boats. The website continues to be our primary source of communication (special thanks to VC-Tom Lanzilli for doing such a fantastic job keeping it up-to-date). In addition to monitoring the site regularly, http://c36fleet5.org/, we encourage everyone to keep an updated membership list on the boat or at home so you can easily identify other member boats whether in port or 'on the hard'. There are so many wonderful stories of chance encounters.

In the meantime, let's hope for a short and safe winter.
